CNY Artists, Crafters, and Creators
A Place for Creativity & Creative People In CNY
Our Mission is to improve the economic, cultural, and social lives of Central New Yorkers by providing a centralized point for creativity and creative people in Central New York.
Some of our major goals are to:
Doing this will help maximize the leverage the creative focus and grow the creative and production potential of creative energies. "Harnessing Creative Energies" currently is our tag or positioning statement.
To do this - We need You - to become a member and connect with others. This is an opportunity for you and any other individuals who want to join other like minded people in unleashing their creative potential and at the same time participate in the endeavor of making CNY one of the most creative places on the planet.
This is a interactive creative community, not just a web site. Our goal is to be the first interactive digital presence in the U.S that offers a rich interactive community which brings out and enables the creative powers of you the individual.
This community is interactive and offers the opportunity to work in groups, form collaborations, develop new connections, friends and networks Our intent is to improve the economic, social and cultural lives of artists, crafts people, creators and the general populace and to be one of the most creative endeavors in CNY.
Some of the benefits of joining the network are as follows:
Be able to meet and connect with other like minded people:
Be able to keep updated on what's happening in the Arts & Culture scene
Be able to discuss and debate issues, raise new ideas.
Be able to start your own discussions.
Be able to get credit for your ideas.
Be able to see a times table of arts and culture 24/7
Be able to see what artists, crafters and creators have for sale.
Be able to sell and buy through the site.
Be able to connect with others for collaboration.
Be Able to have your own blog for words, pictures and videos in order to express yourself.
Be able to see other members of the community and invite them to be friends.
Be able to join special groups or start your own group.
Be able to advertise or add your event for others to see on the site.
Be able to check an events listing for conflicts of any events.
And do all of the above, 24/7, where the community will only be a click away.
All of the above will help us help you unleash creative spirits and creative forces, and to assist people in bringing forth and developing their creative talent.
Our plan includes helping artists, crafters, creators and people, sell, create, and market their work, and on the other side of the equation, help other people learn, appreciate, understand, buy and start creating. We work for you, on either side of the equation, whether you are a creator or someone who wants to know more about art, craft and creating.
We expect our endeavor to increase the sale and purchase of creative work, increase income for creators, increase the understanding and enjoyment of art, crafts, and creations that are purchased, enhance the beauty of someone’s home, office, or personal appearance, and increase the output of creativity in Central New York.
Join us as a creator, a consumer, or an innocent bystander, and help us make CNYArtists.com a turnstile and consistent watering hole, a networking and friend connector, a place for individual or co-creation and collaboration; a go to place for creativity, a highly interactive digital community that is open 24/7 and that gives you and others the opportunity to play a new and innovative role in making Central New York the highly creative place it can be. We plan on being one of the top 3 most exciting things going on in Syracuse.
Get involved and start living and breathing creatively.

Hi folks,
Some here will remember me. I've been away on some writing adventures. I was originally involved on numerous sites, and had to cut back to concentrate on my bread and butter, my published works. Since I've been gone, I've sold numerous poems and short stories. Add to this a few books I've had published recently as well as all of the Editing I've been doing on other writer's short stories and Novellas. My book cover work is advancing too.

Notes about NETWORKING from "The Profitable Artist" by Artspire
Networking
“...is about developing a base of people who will support your efforts and want you to succeed....
Networking is about finding and building relationships with people you care about who are linked to new opportunities, new markets...”
Attend art openings and start making new friends.
“A genuine interest in other people delivers a genuine interest in you.”

At the Hang Local, Artist and curator Ty Marshal asked me this question:
Maria, you had a lot of art shows last year. What is your secret?
At that time my only response was networking.
Networking did help me find new opportunities to show my art in different venues,
but I realize that I didn't five a complete answer.
The real "secret" that helps me, and many other professional artists,
to showcase my work is the awareness of the many web sites that publish opportunity listings.
Here are some that I check out weekly:

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to post an update about the Delightful Devas. Although we are still selling the Delightful Devas as canvas wall hangings, the Devas decided they would like to see more of the world.
As a result, they are now available as beautiful ladies tee shirts as well. This way they able to get out into the world on a more personal level. Be sure and stop by the CNY Artists' store in Shoppingtown Mall to see them. They will be vey happy to see you!

The really cool thing about being an artist is that I can leave my junk all over the house and just call it a "still life".
And guess what????
You can learn how to paint a still life...or how to creatively leave your junk around the house.
