Maria Janina Rizzo
created a body of work of 12 pieces that talk about our human
condition through the use of a tree as a symbol. The tree has three
main parts: the roots, the trunk and the branches. The roots can be
seen as our past, our childhood, and the experiences which help
form the person that we are now.

Marc
Pittarelli I am most intrigued by anddrawn to those artistic
styles thatspan the continuum fromimpressionism, expressionism to
abstractart. To me, this is artthat is not bound to

reproduce life'svisual
experience, but rather, thisis art that is free to represent life's
visual experience withgreater importance placed on mood, movement
and composition than onaccurate representation. As an artist, I can
say that working in anexpressionist fashion ismuch more engaging
and fulfilling than purerendering. I believe itelicits greater
involvement by the viewer aswell. I am currentlyworking in pastel
on paper, acrylic on canvasand on board and digital photography.
Please enjoy the sampling ofwork I haveposted. Originals are
available and most works areavailable aslimited edition signed and
numbered giclee. Clickhere http://www.cnyartists.com/photo/albums/pastels-1

Izzy Dugger My paintings started out
mystical in an ethereal sense, exploring netherworlds between here
and the hereafter. I have since begun painting glimpses of
fairytales, both innocent and dark in nature. They are usually
nonspecific, loose interpretations, meant only to provoke interest
and thought, not to convey specific scenes. I enjoy creating images
of figures from my imagination and making them come to life for
others."See Artworks HERE

Hi folks,
Some here will remember me. I've been away on some writing adventures. I was originally involved on numerous sites, and had to cut back to concentrate on my bread and butter, my published works. Since I've been gone, I've sold numerous poems and short stories. Add to this a few books I've had published recently as well as all of the Editing I've been doing on other writer's short stories and Novellas. My book cover work is advancing too.

Notes about NETWORKING from "The Profitable Artist" by Artspire
Networking
“...is about developing a base of people who will support your efforts and want you to succeed....
Networking is about finding and building relationships with people you care about who are linked to new opportunities, new markets...”
Attend art openings and start making new friends.
“A genuine interest in other people delivers a genuine interest in you.”

At the Hang Local, Artist and curator Ty Marshal asked me this question:
Maria, you had a lot of art shows last year. What is your secret?
At that time my only response was networking.
Networking did help me find new opportunities to show my art in different venues,
but I realize that I didn't five a complete answer.
The real "secret" that helps me, and many other professional artists,
to showcase my work is the awareness of the many web sites that publish opportunity listings.
Here are some that I check out weekly:

As a result, they are now available as beautiful ladies tee shirts as well. This way they able to get out into the world on a more personal level. Be sure and stop by the CNY Artists' store in Shoppingtown Mall to see them. They will be vey happy to see you!

The really cool thing about being an artist is that I can leave my junk all over the house and just call it a "still life".
And guess what????
You can learn how to paint a still life...or how to creatively leave your junk around the house.
